In order to remove copper and nickel from water, the pulsed iron electrooxidation method was used under various laboratory conditions. According to atomic absorption spectrophotometry data, copper and nickel are removed from water by applying a voltage of 10 V after about one hour to about 80%. The structure and magnetic properties of the precipitate were studied by XRD, VSM and SEM. XRD patterns of sediment samples after pollutant absorption confirm the formation of iron oxide and some copper or nickel compounds. Analysis of the magnetic properties of the samples shows that all the samples are magnetically soft and the specific magnetization changes with changing laboratory conditions. The magnetization of the precipitate after the removal of copper is greater than the magnetization of the precipitate after the removal of nickel. SEM images show the formation of nanometer particles in the precipitate. In the elemental analysis maps of the produced sediment, the elements iron, oxygen, and nickel or copper were observed.
